My fitness goals … OMG I’m jumping in head first…

There are so many goals I have, and I’m doing my darndest to make them a reality. I’m working hard on a few of them… One of these goals is to get back in shape. I’ve had a good run of fitness, and then I’ve fallen back into the crappy routines… It’s a part of life. I didn’t mean to stop working out, my body just made me. I’m working on that.

Anyway… I have a HUGE goal when it comes to my fitness… I’ve never been a runner. I’ve always thought that running was too hard, and back in the day.. it was… Hell, it still is… My goal for 2011 was to run a 5K… and I probably would have done it, until I fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle.  I still had that goal for 2012. I want more than anything to accomplish at least one of my fitness goals next year… I was shooting for just doing a 5K… But thanks to my dear friend Deborah, who is really getting me motivated… I’m going to be running the Disney Princess Half Marathon next February. Yes… 13.1 miles… I have a long road ahead of me… Literally… I’m asking for your prayers, your motivation, and encouragement.. I’m going to work my @$$ butt off… The good thing is that they have a training regimen already set up. I’m going to finally be putting my treadmill to some serious use. The training schedule is brutal (for someone who’s never run before) but doable… I can’t wait…

I’ll be sharing my thoughts, experiences, etc with everyone here… so stay tuned… I hope to show you a much smaller / more fit me in a few months…
